Terms of Service v3.0 · Privacy Policy v3.0
By creating an account and using FixYourThrow, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app. If you use the app on behalf of a team, school, or club, you confirm you are authorized to accept these terms for it.
You must be 13 or older. Athletes under 13 are not permitted and cannot be added. For any athlete aged 13 to 17, the coach creating the profile must have permission from that athlete’s parent or guardian, and the app records who gave it and when. Creating a profile for a minor without that permission is a breach of these terms.
FixYourThrow generates multi-week training programs, runs a daily readiness check-in that decides whether to reduce or stop a session, and provides Film Room, a video review tool that adds timing markers to footage so you can scrub to each phase of a throw. Optional features let you share a read-only program link, import meets from Google Calendar, export a calendar file, and make an athlete’s marks visible for recruiting.
Film Room does not evaluate technique. It will not tell you what is wrong with a throw, name a flaw, or prescribe a fix. A phone video is not a reliable enough measurement to base a training decision on, and a wrong cue in a throwing event can cause injury. Any technique feedback you see in the app was written by a human coach. FixYourThrow is not a coach, a physiotherapist, or a doctor. Nothing in it is medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
Programs are generated by an AI model working inside limits our code computes and enforces. Maximum full-effort throws per session are calculated from the athlete’s age, event, and experience, and every generated program is re-checked against those limits and reduced if it exceeds them. Weekly increases are capped, and every throwing day must include arm-care work. The numbers are conservative estimates, not medical guidance, and the written detail of a program is not verified line by line. Programs are a starting point for a qualified coach, not a substitute for one.
The daily check-in is not AI. It is a fixed set of rules in code, so identical answers always produce the identical decision. Pain in areas that carry the most risk for your event stops throwing at any severity, and re-submitting a check-in can only make the day lighter, never heavier. A readiness score is a training signal, not a medical assessment, and the app will sometimes tell you to stop when you feel fine. That is intended. Only the athlete completes their own check-in; coaches can view it.
Throwing events and strength training carry an inherent risk of injury, including serious injury, even when performed correctly and under supervision. Implements are heavy and can injure the thrower and anyone nearby. By using the app you acknowledge these risks and voluntarily assume them for yourself and, if you are a coach or guardian, accept responsibility for supervising the athletes you train with it. Consult a physician before starting any training program.
You are responsible for your own training decisions and, if you are a coach, for those of your athletes. Do not train through pain because the app permitted it, and do not ignore the app when it tells you to stop. If something hurts, involve a coach, a parent, or a medical professional. Use the app under the supervision of a qualified coach. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you enter.
By uploading video you allow us to store and process it so the app can add timing markers and let you and your coach review it. You confirm you have the right to upload it, and that any athlete appearing in it has agreed, or their parent or guardian has if they are under 18.
If you create a share link for a program, anyone who has that link can view that program until it expires. Do not post it publicly unless you intend it to be public. Recruiting visibility is off by default and is turned on per athlete. When it is on, the athlete’s name, event, and marks may be visible beyond their coach. For an athlete under 18, turn it on only with the parent or guardian’s agreement.
Some features may be offered on a paid plan. Any price, billing period, and what is included is shown before you pay. Payments are handled by a third-party payment processor; we do not store card numbers. Subscriptions renew until cancelled, and you can cancel at any time to stop future charges. Unless the law requires otherwise, payments already made are not refunded. We will give notice in the app before changing prices.
A coach can delete an athlete from that athlete’s settings page. Deletion is immediate and permanent: check-ins, pain reports, safety flags, programs, marks, and Film Room records are destroyed. Deleting your account from Settings deletes every athlete you manage in the same way and signs you out; your login itself is removed on request. Uploaded video files may persist in our hosting provider’s storage after the records referencing them are deleted; contact us and we will remove them. A parent or guardian may request deletion of their child’s data at any time.
Do not upload content you have no right to. Do not use the app to harm, harass, or deceive anyone. Do not attempt to access data belonging to athletes who are not yours, scrape the service, reverse engineer it, or interfere with how it works. Doing any of these may end your account immediately.
The app is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and uninterrupted or error-free operation. We do not guarantee any training outcome, improvement in performance, or prevention of injury.
To the fullest extent the law allows, FixYourThrow and its owner are not liable for any personal injury, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or lost data, arising from use of the app or reliance on anything it generates. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or 100 US dollars. This does not limit any liability that cannot legally be limited.
You agree to defend and hold harmless FixYourThrow and its owner from any claim, loss, or expense, including reasonable legal fees, arising from your use of the app, your breach of these terms, content you upload, or, if you are a coach, training you direct for your athletes using the app.
These terms are governed by the law of the State of South Carolina, United States. Before filing any claim, you agree to contact us and try to resolve it informally for 30 days. If that fails, disputes will be resolved by binding individual arbitration rather than in court, except that either side may bring an eligible claim in small claims court. You and we each waive the right to a jury trial and to take part in a class action. You may opt out of arbitration by emailing us within 30 days of first accepting these terms. A named business entity will be added when it is registered, and that change will require re-consent in the app.
If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Our not enforcing a term is not a waiver of it. These terms are the whole agreement between you and us about the app.
We may update these terms. Material changes raise the version number and prompt you to agree again before you continue using the app.
