Question 1

Does FixYourThrow critique my throwing technique?

Accepted Answer

No, on purpose. The Film Room provides slow-motion review, phase timeline markers, side-by-side comparison, and one-tap sharing to your coach. It never names a flaw or prescribes a fix, because phone video is not reliable enough to base training decisions on. Technique judgment belongs to a human coach.

Question 2

Is FixYourThrow safe for young athletes?

Accepted Answer

Safety limits are enforced in code: full-effort throw counts are capped by age and event, weekly increases are limited, and pain in high-risk areas stops throwing at any severity. For ages 13+ with guardian consent. Nothing in the app is medical advice.

Question 3

Which throwing events does FixYourThrow cover?

Accepted Answer

All four throws: javelin, shot put with glide and spin programmed separately, discus, and hammer.

Question 4

Do I need a coach to use FixYourThrow?

Accepted Answer

It is built to work with your coach, not replace them. You can train solo, but escalations are flagged for a human, and the app will tell you to involve your coach, a parent, or an athletic trainer when something is off.

Question 5

Why not just ask an AI chatbot to write a throws program?

Accepted Answer

A chatbot will write a reasonable twelve-week block. What it will not do is the next morning: adapting the plan daily requires re-supplying your profile, programme and recent history every time. It also has no code between the model and the athlete, so nothing stops an unsafe throw volume being prescribed. FixYourThrow recomputes throw counts from age and event and clamps them after generation, and the engine deciding whether you throw today is deterministic with no AI in it, so identical inputs always give the identical answer.

Question 6

How much does FixYourThrow cost?

Accepted Answer

Free during the founding period. Planned pricing: Athlete $19/month or $149 for a full year, Squad $79/month or $599 for up to 10 athletes, Program $199/month or $1,499 for up to 30. A year covers 12 months including the summer training block. Founder pricing is locked for early accounts.
